Simply put, the larger the slip, the longer the wait! The type of boat (power or sail), overall length, beam, width, and draft all play a factor. Boats less than 25 ft long tend to get assigned a slip quicker than others. Other unpredictable factors like members moving, selling their boats, and the number of boats on the waiting list determine how long the wait will be.

The only preference given to sailboats is to give them an upwind slip when available and where there is sufficient draft. WYC generally has more slip selection for power boats, as they have more maneuverability and require less draft.

Please visit the two priority lists posted on the bulletin board near the rear entrance to the office:

• Wet Mooring List C: For members who currently have a slip but are requesting a different location (i.e.: buying a bigger boat, want to be upwind, not enough beam width, etc.). Members on this list have first priority.
• Wet Mooring List A: This list is for members requesting a slip for an existing vessel or a future boat.

When a slip becomes available, members on List C who match the slip specifications will be contacted. If the slip remains available, List A members with boats that match the slip specifications will be contacted. Members offered a slip but not ready with a boat may either drop off or go to the bottom of the list.
